Andrew and his wife Casey have been married for 13 years and have a 7 year old daughter and an adopted 26 year old son that recently got married and bought a house in Grass Valley. They have welcomed a German exchange student into their home for the '24/'25 school year who will be attending Nevada Union. Andrew's passions include flying airplanes, building 4x4 trucks, traveling, diving, skiing, boating at Rollins, Scotts and Bullards and spending time with his family out and about in his beautiful hometown of Grass Valley.
Andrew has been in the construction industry since he was 16 years old. He began building houses during summer breaks in high school. After attending Sierra College and Missouri Baptist University, he founded a construction company in the Bay Area focusing on residential projects. When the market crashed in 2008, he shifted his focus to commercial construction. He moved back to the greater Sacramento area and learned the business from an established commercial contractor, where he managed diverse projects, from shopping centers to healthcare facilities. In late 2017, Andrew felt a call back to entrepreneurship. He and his childhood friend decided to start a commercial construction firm. Andrew enjoys the complexity of navigating business deals, working with and empowering employees, and building successful processes that maximize the company’s efficiency and helps employees’ roles be more sustainable. The company currently has 50 employees and operates in 47 states. Andrew’s latest venture was co-founding a development company where he saw an opportunity to better assist his clients by going beyond the scope of commercial construction. His knowledge of all facets of the building process has been invaluable to his companies.
During his spare time, Andrew serves on the board of Brody International (www.brodyinternational.com), a non-profit that provides construction management services to other non-profits around the world. Andrew has personally traveled to countries such as Sierra Leone, Iraq, Chile and many more to provide construction insight, design and planning for non-profit's infrastructure projects. In the past Andrew has coached Varsity Baseball at both Colfax and Forest Lake.
